Located just outside the walls of Lincoln Castle, Castle View ranks top of the list. Their menu includes all of the classics exquisitely prepared – Biryanis, Tandoori Specials or the more obscure Ghandi special. It has some great reviews on Tripadvisor including Paul from Blackrod who says “it’s the best Indian meal he’s ever had!”

2. Ali’s Indian Restaurant and Takeaway
Ali’s Restaurant and Takeway is in Holton Le Clay, near Grimsby. It offers a you a wide range of Indian cuisine plus Bangladeshi recipes too. It has excellent reviews for quality, value and service from locals, but also recently from a visitor from Washington USA!

3. Gurkha Oven
Gurkha Oven is in the Sheep Market in Spalding. It’s the towns best Indian and second best overall restaurant and offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy high quality Indian and Nepalese cuisine.
They have a bold mission which is to offer the best Indian and Nepalese cuisine in England and it would seem they’re doing a great job! They offer a very good range of traditional Indian and Nepalese recipes cuisines and if you’re vegetarian, you’re well catered for.

4. 1498 The Spice Affair
The Spice Affair is another one in this list in Spalding. It’s located in The Red Lion Hotel in the towns Market Place. This restaurant specialises in Goan cuisine, which it describes as a combination of Arabian, Portuguese and native influences.
Their Indo-Euro cuisine represents the taste of modern-day Goa. Born in Goa, the owner is passionate about promoting Goan food and introducing Indo-Portuguese cuisine to it’s customers. They offer a £9.95 Sunday lunch special, which at that price sounds like a bargain.

5. Asha Indian Restaurant
Situated on the East Gate of Louth, the Asha Indian Restaurant’s head chef has decades of experience and proclaims to be a master of traditional Indian cooking.
The restaurant has the menu setup from the food being Mild and Tasty (1) to Extremely Hot (7), making it simple to choose your favourite dishes according to your tastes. They have banquet nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings, offering a set meal for £11.95.

6. Gurkha Square
Gurkha Square is another Lincolnshire Indian restaurant masterful in the art of Indian and Nepalese cuisine, this time in Grantham. It’s situated on the Wharf Road and well-known around the town and beyond for amazing food.
They offer classic Indian dishes such as Tikka Masala, plus a good range of Nepalese dishes such as the popular Chaati Chicken and more than happy catering for special diets such as vegan.

7. Zeera Spice Lounge
Zeera Spice Lounge in Scunthorpe, is the towns fourth best overall restaurant and the best Indian.
They offer Indian/Bangladeshi recipes and very accommodating if you’ve a special diet (i.e vegetarian, vegan, gluten free). Their best selling dishes are Lamb Mosala and Beef Lazeez, so if you try either of these let us know in the comments below.

8. Everest Inn
The Everest Inn is located in the West Gate of Grantham. Another restaurant offering the best of Nepalese & Indian with a modern twist.
The Everest Special Fish Parcel and Everest Lamb Shank Special are two of the signature dishes of the Everest Inn. They also have a take-away under the same name in Lincoln, plus another restaurant in Newark, which is also highly recommended.

9. The Bombay Cottage
The Bombay Cottage in Stamford is the towns 6th favourite accroding to Tripadvisor and was established in 1993, so it’s got a very good heritage.
The menu has a wide selection of recipes to meet the needs of the most accomplished Indian food connoisseur! Including traditional clay oven baked dishes such as Duck Saslik or Prawn Modhu Jhinga a blend of herbs and spices with a touch of honey, ground almond, pistachio and coconut milk to create a fabulous dish. Mmmm!

10. Jaaz Pavilion
Jaaz Pavilion, the last, but by no means least in our pick of Lincolnshires Best Indian restaurants is in Messingham, just outside of Scunthorpe. Jaaz Pavillion serves Indian/Pakistan/Bangladeshi cuisine.
They describe themselves as “serving the finest Indian cuisine in a sleek, contemporary setting and combining traditional favourites with the new wave of exciting flavours and innovative ideas sweeping out of the sub-continent, this is the apogee of Indian dining”. That’s got to be worth a go if you’re in the area!
